This model is a young woman from Uganda. She travelled to the US and put herself through college to earn her BS in Business. It is a delight to paint her -- my aim is to impart her stately demeanor.
My trip to the shore did not produce any art to speak of. It was nice to meet the group, but I spent my time rather isolated and enjoying the solitude with my sketchbook. The overcast weather suited me perfectly, and I was able to do a lot of peaceful thinking. All in all, a good break.
