November Wood, 5 p.m. (charcoal underdrawing)

Charcoal on Strathmore Pastel Paper
I spent Monday (70 degrees) with M. at the Monocacy Aquaduct. What a wonderful place to draw/paint. So many landscape features to use as a subject -- the Monocacy River, lots of thick woods, grassy areas, the aquaduct itself. This is a charcoal that I used as an underpainting for a pastel, which I completed the next day in my studio.
